It's been awhile hasn't it. My xanga entries have become non-exist in recent months possibly because I've been busy. Since my trip to Japan in March, I went to NYC and LA in April. I'll leave all the details out in this entry because there is too much to write. One word-Rash...for those who hangout with me a lot u know what i'm talking about...not fun.  In any case, thanks to Mike and to Jasmine for letting Kimmie and I crash for the weekends.

The month of May passed before my eyes. In the midst of work, school and soccer I managed to visit the city several times in one week for that matter. Crazy huh...but it's fun and spontaneous...just how i like it. Soooo....Jon, Russell, Kevin and I drove out to SF to the Ivy concert. It's been several years since they have been on tour so I was super stoked. I'd have to say that Ivy is one of those awesome bands that have bypassed the mainstream light...I call Ivy hidden gems.  We are such hardcore fans...we braved the midnight breeze in SF and waited and waited till all the members of Ivy came out of Slim's to get their autographs. I think russell, jon and i have a "hat trick" right now. It's great! btw the opening band was pretty good too...they are called Astaire-even though the guys were drooling over the vocalist hahah.

So if you ever need to laugh really really hard all you have to do is learn how to drive stick. OMG. hahah. Its been awhile since i've laughed that hard. Thanks Kevin for giving me my first lesson. It was actually really fun once I started getting the hang of it...ok well i have a long ways to go....i didnt get passed first gear...i'm cool with that...15mph is fast enough hahaha.

Ok so on to the juicy stuff. So this past weekend I went to Tahoe with Kristin and Natalie. We only went for one night but shiesh do I have a story to tell. It's like you hear about stories like this but you never actually think you'll experience it first hand.To keep it short...married dudes and ladies do not mix. Although technically these dudes didn't cross the line they were definitely walking on the tight rope. Ok Guy#1, do you really need to hold my friends hands or pull her hair up for her when you dance with her? I'm surprised the wedding ring didn't get in the way. LOL. But anyway, nothing happened cuz we aren't the type of girls that would put the bait out there. But believe me if we wanted to, those dudes would have taken it. How sick is that....poor wives we kept saying. Anyway, we had a fun time and ended up running into a couple friends from Sac too.

Sooo..in two weeks I'll be selling earrings at Sellout Buyout in midtown Sacramento. Come by and check it out if you have time:

Day after the show~ March SoBo was well worth the time and energy. Thanks to every who helped out and visited me during the 8 hours I was posted up in the corner, lol.

The New Orleans trip was rather interesting. Here are a few highlights of the trip:

~Stef and I transfered to our connecting flight only to find our other two traveling buddies on the same flight! How kewl is that?!

~Running into this guy from our SW flight(LA to NO) and all of his 8 friends at Bubba Gumps of all places at the French Qtrs..and then shortly after in their car..soooo random.

~4 Nights of party=sleepless nites for me and not much sleep for my friends. I think the earliest we got back to the hotel was 6 or 630am.

~ Oh that reminds me....I was there for a soccer tournament. We did ok...1-1-1. We could have done a lot better but the refs were not the best I have seen.

~ Driving around in a broke-ass car we rented from Enterprise. I think it was a Focus or something like that. All weekend we had to put the car in neutral when we were stopped at a red light because it made this loud humming sound.

~ We learned that we did not have to obey the Parking Signs there. Wherever it said you couldn't park, people did anyway. We learned after the third day....just do we say...

~ooh about sayings....hmmm....we came up with some funny stuff like...how bout some bengays....shoot i can't remember all of them. They were hilarious though.

~ Ok ewwww........Bourbon Street. I learned to look at the ground while I walked.

this is just a glimpse of the fun we had in no....but i have to cut this short because the fall qtr isn't over yet. I still have to finish my final project. Anyone want to learn about Municipal Wastes?

Wow, i't's been awhile since my last entry. I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone. I hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving  . Here's a quick recap of November. November started out well, no I should say fantastic. I went to the Death Cab concert in San Francisco.  I have to say, this was the most amazing concert I've been to in awhile. Not only did they play a great set, but my friends and I met the entire band after the concert. I was also lucky enough to get my cd signed as well.  They were soo down to earth and approachable which was very refreshing. See below--this is a pic with Ben Gibbard.  Although there were no adam.brody sightings(i guess i have to go to la concert for that) it was a awesome nite. (P.S. Sum i guess i'll share Seth with you....but i should warn you...i'm soo obsessed,  but u know that already, hehe)

Two weeks later, Kimmie and I went to LA. This must have been the month to meet celebs. We went to Alicia Keys book signing. It was a COLD experience. hehe. We waited over an hour in the wind as we waited in line for our turn. Luckily we were 37, 38 and 39. Here are a few pics at AAAA in Korea town. It was a nice place..but it had one thing missing, People!! We had fun drinking four flasks of pineapple soju- . Actually, we did some touristy stuff too but i'm too tired to finish typing this entry.

(This is a pic from kimmie's xanga and camera.thanks kimmie) I'm not very savy with posting pics.....i dont have premium or have my pics on an online photo album. Anyway, this is a pic of Shauna, me, Kimmie and Jasmine at the AAAA lounge.

Last weekend of Nov.---Ok, three back to back nites partying is too much for me these days. But it was Thanksgiving weekend, so i made the exception.  After all the food I ate, I was skeptical on how well I would play this past Sunday. The coed team I play with on Sundays(Dortmund) tied 3-3. I would have to say it was an exciting game from the start.  If you factor in the 2 (either yellow and blue) cards that I received....anyone would say, whoa. Me get a warning card, come on now?! and not just one..but two! i couldn't believe it myself. Until next time....

It has been an awesome two weeks of soccer! My Tuesday’s women’s team (Go Purple Hooters!!!) won championship last Tuesday…woohoo!!(note: i had no idea Purple Hooters was a type of drink until i joined this team, how funny is that!) I am still in disbelief that I’ve scored more goals with my left foot than my right foot in the past couple weeks. Who would have thought taking shots with my left foot was more accurate than my right. I guess I never really had confidence in my left foot all these years…but that all changed last night when I scored off of a cross. Can you say upper V?! LOL...i guess you had to be there...it was breath taking, for me at least,  hehe. Ok i know  I’m a dork! Who else talks this way about soccer? Hahah…i'm sooo glad it's year-around...since it's my stress release and I can get a great workout while having fun!  A few random thoughts:

  • Jeans, jeans and more designer jeans. “A” Pockets with carnation pink stitching…ahhhh….if you love jeans you know exactly what I’m talking about when you find the perfect pair that fits o so perfectly.
  • Please tell me i'm not the only one experiencing this, paleeese---When a person is sooo "out of line" or when you come to the realization that some situations you have no control over seem to have come straight out of a soap opera to the point at which all you can do is shake your head and laugh--but you know it's not funny cuz it's actually annoying.
  • Realizing that “keeping busy” with work, school, soccer, traveling, shopping, partying, friends and family alleviates the sadness, but nothing can replace my dad.
  • No matter how many new songs I download or CDs I purchase, Death Cab for Cutie still dominates my CD player. Why? because they are awesome and one of my favorite bands!!

until next time....have a good day.
